The location is beautiful and most of the staff were lovely. Sadly the accommodation and amenities were disappointing. Access to the pool and activity's was pay walled and the system to access this was overly complicated. AVOID ONSITE SHOPS/FOOD OUTLETS On our first night we needed some supplies and we thought we'd try the Fish and Chip shop. 2 small bags of shopping and 2 pathetic portions of fish and chips cost £85... The large fish and standard portion were indistinguishable! A lady outside the shop said she'd never paid for such awfully expensive chip shop food. Sadly I had already ordered. Oh and I almost forgot, NO INTERNET on site apart from the hub where all the pay to play stuff is. What a clip joint... No wonder Haven are currently loosing £170m per annum right now. The Lake District is beautiful but this place really took the shine off it!

We are just back from Haven lakeland. We will be back. Caravan we stayed in was great, clean, modern, beds comfy, shower clean, bathroom clean. We were nxt to the football pitch and the swing park.,which unfortunately the pitches were closed, until the Activities team came to open up. We had to play on the grass until we were allowed in. To us it should be opend all the time to allow kids to have fun Swing park was small, There should be more there to accommodate all the kids at the caravan site, and the tents hire pitches. Swimming pool was nice . But had to take trainers ,shoes off before you go in,and leave, unfortunately there isn't any seats to sit down . No seating area,at all. Activities was great ,great people to help you out. Only burger king and chip shop, but closed Tuesday/Thursday, dont know why. Alot of people were not happy about this, with the size of the park. Nisa shop was nice plenty of things for all. Spoons was okey, good food, but very pricey.

We have traveled 5 hours here to the Lake District from Essex. Perfect base to explore Lake District, fairly close to everything you need. Lovely Chinese (chilli red) not too far away! We was in the corner and it was lovely and quiet, walks around the park is great. Didn’t use the facilities only a drink from the spoons on site which was fine. Lady at what I’m assuming is the owners lounge needs a little update on her service as we wanted a drink and didn’t know it was only for owners and was immediately backed out of the doorway with ‘you can’t come in here’ without even asking if we was owners which was a shame! The shop staff are very lovely and pleasant, not the most stocked shop I’ve been to on a caravan site but has some good bits. On a note, we had ordered burger king to be delivered and it come late, the poor guy had been loaded up with loads of orders so clearly they waited to send everyone’s order out at one go. We wasn’t given the sauces we ordered and no Icecream either. No contact number either so we lost out there. The food was ice cold by the time we got it as it was nearly 40 minutes late For the price, you can’t go wrong! We upgraded the last minute to a silver and it is lovely. Can’t wait to return to the lakes

Not a great park to stay at, bad points were- toilet facilities were very poor, at the swimming pool the mens toilets had 2 urinals over flowing with urine and all over the floor, the only toilet in there didn't flush so was full of urine and was also all over the floor, the staff at desk at the swimming pool didn't seem very interested to be there and look bored and fed up, where you have to take your shoes off and put them back on at the entrance to the changing rooms, there is not seating when you need to put your shoes on, I was struggling with my knees and couldn't put my shoes on unless I could sit down, not very conscious towards people who could be disabled or just struggling. The weather spoons was hit or miss, one meal was fine but then the next day, food came out stone cold and had to send it back. The caravan we had booked was a bronze, we booked a bronze as was only staying for 4 days, however we booked the bronze expecting it to be away from the savers, however we found that we were mixed in with loads of saver caravans so made no sense paying for a bronze if your mixed in with saver caravans. When we arrived, we received no welcome pack in the caravan, no bin bags..... Nothing, just walked in to only the key sat on the side, nothing else, very poor welcome. The site is nice enough and we actually enjoyed the arcades, they were bright and very well air conditioned, the toilets in one of the entertainment rooms had broken hand dryers. The whole place needs better managing and their facilities needs better maintenance, staying in the area we stayed in around the saver caravans had a load of......... Well how can I explain it....... We had a lot disrespectful people around us with children that have never been parented properly and family's that only seems to have one volume control which is the highest setting possible. Wish we had upgraded to a nicer caravan and been away from the savers caravans and away from people who boot footballs around the caravans and scream at the top of their lungs while stood right Infront of each other. 100% won't be coming back and definitely thinking about cancelling our 2 other Haven holidays that we have booked for 2 other parks later in the year Haven, you used to be seen as the premier league of holiday parks but you have let your self down.

Beautiful get away. We have been to a few Havens across the UK, but Lakeland is certainly the quietest. As we were at the very end of the park we couldn't get signal or havens WIFI, for those who need to be forced to switch off, this is the place for you! The site is on the small side compared to the likes of Hafan y Mor for example. The chippy and burger king are good. The shop is very handy and not badly priced at all considering there is not a lot of shops around the area. Founders up the road from Haven is an amazing chippy/ chinese but closes at 9pm! There are plenty are activities to book with Haven and there is lovely walks, very dog friendly.
